Pasos for Oak Cliff, a non-profit, is set up by Jesse Acosta, a high school teacher, and Alejandra Zendejas, a math tutor. We both consider ourselves sneakerheads.
As sneakerhead educators and members of the community, we are fully aware that parents and guardians struggle to supply some basic necessities for their children - this is especially true when it comes to shoes.
As a result, we decided to turn our LOVE for sneakers into a proactive start up - Pasos for Oak Cliff. The goal of Pasos for Oak Cliff is to give students new shoes. The lack of good quality shoes leads to discomfort, ridicule, bullying, and isolation. We can prevent that from happening, but we cannot do it alone, we need YOUR SUPPORT.
THE GODPARENT COMMITMENT
A Padrino or Madrina (spanish for Godparent) is traditionally an individual who commits to a child's upbringing and personal development with mentorship and money.
Pasos' tremendous growth over the last year has created the need for Padrinos.
You can become a Pasos Padrino today by committing to donate at least
$20 (.66 cents a day) monthly.

100% of your monthly donation will go towards our programs in Oak Cliff.
Adopting Schools
Your monthly donation will lead to the adoption of schools with high poverty levels. Currently, we don't have the resources needed to sustain an ongoing school partnership, but your monthly donation will change that.
More Students Served
Your monthly donation will lace up more students! There is currently a growing waitlist of over 700 students in need of new sneakers, which together we can serve.
Education Programs
Your monthly donation will support the upcoming Pasos Scholarship, upcoming summer programs, and other community programs.
